Manchester City Vs West Ham Haaland Sets Premier League Record

Manchester City vs West Ham: Haaland Sets Premier League Record

Manchester City moved back above Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table with a 3-0 win over West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Nathan Ake's opener and Phil Foden's deflected strike put City in control before Erling Haaland broke the Premier League record for goals in a season with his 27th of the campaign.

The win moves City one point clear of Arsenal, who face Aston Villa on Sunday. West Ham remain in fourth place, five points behind City.

Haaland scored his first goal in the 36th minute, tapping home from close range after a cross from Riyad Mahrez. Foden made it 2-0 just four minutes later with a deflected effort from the edge of the area.

Haaland then made history in the 64th minute, scoring his 27th goal of the season to break the record previously held by Mohamed Salah and Luis Suarez.

The win was City's fourth in a row in the Premier League and keeps them on course for a fifth title in six years.
