Notre Dame Defeats Harvard 9-8 in Overtime Thriller
Notre Dame Men's Lacrosse (12-4) emerged victorious in a thrilling overtime contest against Harvard (9-6) on Saturday, May 25, at Moose Krause Stadium.
The game started with Harvard taking an early lead, scoring three goals in the first quarter. Notre Dame responded with two goals in the second quarter to trail by one at halftime.
The second half saw both teams trade goals, with Harvard holding a slim 8-7 advantage heading into the final minutes of regulation. With time winding down, Notre Dame's Liam Entenmann scored a game-tying goal to send the game into overtime.
In overtime, Notre Dame's Brendan Fitzgerald secured the victory with a goal just over two minutes into the extra period. The Irish held on for the 9-8 win, snapping Harvard's four-game winning streak.
